A low‐cost and high‐performance self‐trigger method for high‐voltage transient measurement

Stable triggering of acquisition devices is critical to accurately measure electromagnetic transients, especially for very fast transient overvoltages (VFTOs). A highly stable and low-cos t self-trigger method measurement proposed. An integrated low-voltage arm module was developed synchronously realise the VFTO measurement. The trigger branch using a high-pass filter. This component obtained high-frequency oscilloscope. with through an impedance converter. attenuator implemented before converter avoid overvoltage damage chip. circuit parameters were optimised alleviate disturbance branch. calibration results demonstrated that ±1 dB bandwidth in this system ranged from 11.8 Hz 105 MHz. low cutoff frequency 710 Hz. waveforms generated by operation disconnector real 252 kV gas insulated switchgear measured proposed system. test verified can provide signals waveforms.
